Babe Ruth Weve all heard or indeed experienced the burnout from working in a high-pressure job. However, a recent study has found that typically under-challenging administrative can also lead to exhaustion and stress. And this boredom burnout is often a big reason why people do and should look for a new job. If youve experienced any of the below then its time to check out our job ads. 1. Waking up on Monday morning filled with dread Obviously, no one likes to get up early on a Monday morning after a nice and relaxing weekend. However, this is very different to actually dreading Monday morning. If youre feeling sick with dread every Sunday evening and preying each week that you will win the lottery and never have to go back to your job then now is the time to look at new jobs. 2. You regularly get sick Go on, be honest. How many sick days have you used this year? Really, that many? If youve got a hangover, really want to enjoy the rare burst of sunshine or just cant be bothered every now and again then thats one thing (not that were condoning it naughty, naughty!), but if youre calling in sick on a semi-regular basis just so you dont have to face work then its time to get out of there. 3. Youre not reaching your full potential So youve been doing your role for a couple of years now and feel like you can do your duties in your sleep, then youll quickly start to resent your job. First, speak with your manager and show an interest in taking on more responsibility. If that doesnt work then it may be time to take your experience elsewhere. 4. The boss from hell Weve all had the monster boss. Whether they just make your life a misery with overloading you with too much work and overlooking you for promotion through to actual bullying, the monster boss can be a real nightmare for workers. If its all too much, you can always make the most of that wonderful moment when you hand in your resignation. 5. New career, new city Finding a new job doesnt have to be because of anything negative. Sometimes, you just want a change. You might want to try out a new career; it could be anything from IT jobs or find jobs in Kent or even abroad. This is always the nicest way to leave things, on a high, with your boss or companys blessing. If you just feel its your time then dont be put off by the stories of the tough job market, dust off your CV and start your job hunt. It may be the start of a new chapter for you.
